June 6, 1932 - June 20, 2019
Frederick R. Hupfer Jr. “Uncle Freddy” b. June 6, 1932 - d. June 20, 2019 Freddy passed peacefully after a long charismatic life bringing joy into the lives of all those he encountered. He moved to East Patchogue in 1945 and established a career as a plumber with the United Association local 200. It was in East Patchogue that he met his soulmate, lifelong partner and friend Joe McDonald. They shared over 50 years together in a loving relationship with tremendous respect for one another and setting an example of true commitment. Freddy added color to the world making flower arrangements with great care and perfection. He had an affinity for dogs, having even shown Basset Hounds and winning many awards. Every time you walked into a room that Freddy was in, it would be the filled with the sounds of Bach, Beethoven or Mozart. Much like the compositions of these artists, Freddy filled a room with elegance, charm and a grand sense of joy that was rich with history. There will be a tremendous void in the lives he left behind. His surviving sister Kathryn Verbeke and husband John, his nephew Timothy Hupfer, niece Wendi Mijal, their daughter Alice Eileen and his dog Frank will miss their daily visits. As well as his nieces, Christine Langan, Kimberly Hupfer, Linda Pollard, Cindy Hupfer and nephew John Verbeke Jr. There will be services announced in August, where Freddy will be laid to rest with his Husband Joe and dog Winston. Please feel free to write any fond memories, comments on Robertaccio funeral home website. https://www.robertacciofuneralhome.com/
