Jacob P. Holz Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Holz, Jacob P., Jr., age 78 of Lake Clear, NY, passed away suddenly on June 12, 2022. He was predeceased by his father Jacob Holz Sr. His mother Erminia Holz sadly passed away just a few hours after Jacob Jr. He is survived by his brother Philip (Lois)of Cooperstown, NY, and Raymond (Elaine) of Sayville; two nieces Genalin Shea (Kevin) and Geremy Borys (Zenon). There are five great nieces and nephews, Mia, Gavin, Benjamin, Zoryana, and Elijah. Jake was born on Long Island and graduated from Patchogue High School in 1961. But from a young age he most enjoyed family vacations in the Adirondacks. This inspired him to attend Paul Smiths College to receive his Associate degree in Forestry and then go to Syracuse University for his bachelor degree. After serving three years in the Army, Jake returned to Saranac Lake to live and work for the New York State Office of Real Property Services I Ray Brook for thirty-five years. Jake was a man of few words who loved life in the Adirondacks. He enjoyed snowmobiling with a club of friends, he boated and fished, and even built an A-frame house as an island camp. He was truly a mountain man! Services will be held for Jake and his mother, Erminia, at Robertaccio Funeral Home on Sunday, June 19 from 12 to 4 pm. A religious service will be celebrated at 3pm. The family requests donations on Jake’s behalf to the American Heart Association.
