James Edward Anderson passed on the afternoon of November 24, 2021, at the age of ninety. Jim was born to James and Jean (nee: Petruski) Anderson on January 31, 1931, in Brooklyn, NY. He was the eldest of five sons. He is predeceased by his parents, brother William and sister-in-law, Peggy. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Stella, three brothers, Donald, Robert (Tina), George (Pat); and five wonderful children and their spouses; James and Gerrie Anderson, Susan and Michael de la Torre, Barbara Kosogof, Stephen and Kelly Anderson, and Nancy and Don Kohlhoff; 16 blessed grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Jaclyn de la Torre, James and Cristina Rade-Anderson, Tyler de la Torre, Brian Anderson, Caitlyn Smollin, Alexa de la Torre, Peter Kosogof, Daniel Kosogof, Eric Kohlhoff, Julie Kohlhoff, Thomas Anderson, Alison Kosogof, Lauren Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Stephen Anderson, and Kevin Kohlhoff; and one great grandson, Carter Rade-Anderson, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Jim met his future wife, Stella Sayles, at S&H Kress Company and after serving in the army, they married on May 16, 1954. They lived in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn for many years before moving to Valley Stream. Jim worked for New York Telephone Company and retired in 1986. In 2000 Jim and Stella moved to Waterways Condo Community in Center Moriches, NY where they spent countless happy days travelling with friends and family.
