It is with profound sadness to announce the loss of our daughter, Teresa. Born Thanksgiving Day. Nov. 26,1970, taken from this earth June 15,2022 at the age of 51 after an unrelenting battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer. Beloved daughter of Allen and the late Judy Schwanke, loving stepdaughter of Nancy, Sister of Allen, his wife Laura, Stepsister to Erin and Kevin Purce beloved fiancée to Rodman Black III. Loving Aunt to Maura and Gavin Schwanke, Step Aunt to Michael and Xander Rhodes. Raised and educated in Mount Sinai N.Y., Terry grew up an observing, happy, outgoing individual who connected and made lifelong friends throughout her years. She graduated SUNY College at Potsdam with a degree in English Lit. and Education. After a brief stint in the field of primary education, she found her niche in the pharmaceutical field, educating adults in career development. She eventually landed at Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical and after nearly 17 years worked her way up to Sr. District Sales Manager, Boston Diabetes Unit. Terry, simply, wanted the best for everyone, she mentored and coached all, equally. She was a leader, role model, a true and selfless individual and will be sorely missed by all, friends and family alike. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 5th from 7 to 9 pm at the Robertaccio Funeral Home in Patchogue.
