George Wolkiewicz “Wookie” of Manorville New York, born in Queens, New York on September 12, 1935 passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on June 22, 2022. George was predeceased in death by his parents, George H. Wolkiewicz and Gladys I. Sokoloski Wolkiewicz; and his sister Patricia Wolkiewicz McCarthy. He is survived by his wife Barbara Findlay Wolkiewicz; sons George Wolkiewicz and his wife Carol Tropea Wolkiewicz, Rich Wolkiewicz and his wife Angela Cabell; three granddaughters Carissa Wolkiewicz, Alana Wolkiewicz, and Jeanne Wolkiewicz; and brother’s Paul Wolkiewicz and his wife Kathy Wolkiewicz, and John Wolkiewicz and his wife Barbara Wolkiewicz and brother in-law, John (Jack) McCarthy. George, (or “Wookie”, or the Old “F”ella”) as he was called by his foursome at Rock Hill Golf Club, loved golf and the guys he played with, the list of dear golf friends is too long to list. A wake will be held on Monday June 27th from 5PM t 8PM at Robertaccio Funeral Home in Center Moriches, New York. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday 28 at 10AM at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Manorville, New York.
